Health and Social Care

More now than ever, we are seeing how important the NHS is to keeping us safe and well. From the day we are born to when we are very old, the health and social care professionals are there for us, ensuring we can live our lives to the fullest. There are over 350 different job roles in the NHS alone, and as our population ages there are increasing numbers of jobs needing to be filled by our next generation.

The BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care will investigate how our circumstances and life choices can affect our health and the different ways in which our health system is there to support us. As this is a BTEC subject two-thirds of the course will be assessed through the completion of written coursework.
